Kamel Oud
Kamel Oud is a personal tribute to Kamel, the friend who introduced Antoine Soradora to the materials and traditions of oriental perfumery. It places oud at the centre of a composition filled with spice, smoke, rose and red fruit, creating something generous, dark and highly distinctive.
Bergamot, pink pepper, aldehydes and elemi produce a bright but resinous opening. Cardamom, cumin and saffron surround rose and raspberry in the heart, creating a contrast between dry spice and syrupy fruit. Labdanum, Laotian oud, cade, papyrus, Atlas cedar and guaiac form a smoky, heavily wooded base.
Curator's note
This is the boldest fragrance in the selection. Raspberry and rose bring sweetness, but cumin, cade and oud make sure it never feels soft or conventional. Smoky, spicy and slightly animalic, Kamel Oud is for someone who wants their fragrance to be noticed and remembered.
