The opening is rich and intoxicating. Golden rum collides with warm nutmeg and creamy almond paste, creating an immediate sense of comfort, temptation and intrigue. The opening is magnificent. Rich rum, warm spice and creamy almond create the sort of scent that makes people stop mid-conversation and ask what you’re wearing. Then the suede arrives and changes the game completely. Smooth, luxurious and just a little bit filthy.
But the real star here is the honey.
Not the polite honey found in designer fragrances. This is dark, sticky, grown-up honey wrapped in woods and vanilla. It gives L’ANIMAL an addictive quality that keeps drawing you back to your wrist.
